Journal Prompts for the Summer Solstice

The summer solstice is a powerful time to pause, reflect, and realign with your inner self. My favorite way to do this is through journaling. I have decided to share with you some of my own journal prompts that I use during this time to examine how the year has been going and what I need to do NOW to finish out the year as I desired. Use the prompts below to set new intentions, let go of what no longer is serving you, and connect deeply with your thoughts and feelings so you can create the life your soul is calling you toward.

Each section is designed to help you process different emotions and then support you in resetting so you can get back on track.

REFLECT

  • What has been working for you over the last 6 months?

  • What has not been working?

  • How have you been feeling?

  • What is keeping you up at night?

  • Have you been self-sabotaging - think of goals you might have set for yourself back in January, have you been sticking to these, have they been lost from your mind, are you sabotaging your efforts?

RESET

  • What can you change?

  • What habits are not aligning you to be your highest - and truest self?

  • What do you need to do, to give yourself that full reset - to come back into your body, mind, and soul?

  • Make a list of all of the things that bring you peace and make you feel LIGHTER

RECREATE

  • List all of the things - Your dreams and goals that you wish to manifest/elevate in your life

  • What do you want to accomplish? List everything out, then pick your top 3 - these will be used for the retreat, focusing on ONE particular goal

  • How would you feel if you were living the life you desired?

  • What would your health and wellness be like

  • What would your family life be like

  • What would your career/finances be like

  • What is your ideal daily routine/rhythm? Create an ideal morning and evening routine

  • How would you go about your day, if you were already living your *most* desired life?

Make it Visual

I am a very visual person, so creating a vision board or re-vamping the one that you already have can really help you get more focused on bringing your desires into the physical. If you are new to creating a vision board, there are various ways you can do this:

Take a board of your choosing. I like using a corkboard and cutting out images and words from magazines. You can also scroll through Pinterest and print out your motivational pictures. While you are at, create private Pinterest board just for you to save all of the images there too!

Make it Digital by using a collage option on Pinterest, Shuffles, or Canva to collect all of your digital photos and then use them as your phone screen saver I love doing this because then every time I turn on my phone, I see what I want to accomplish, and it can often limit the scrolling because why would you want to waste time doing that when you can do something that can bring you closer to your goals?!
