In just a few easy steps, you’ll have a festive garland that’s bursting with pastel charm, cotton-ball tails, and opportunities for family bonding. Plus, you can download our free bunny template to make tracing and cutting a breeze!
When I came up with this DIY Bunny Garland, my goal was simple—I wanted a craft that I could easily do with my kids without needing extra supplies or expensive materials. So, instead of threading twine through tiny holes (which can be tricky for little hands), I got creative and used paper straws as an easy way for kids to string the bunnies themselves. This small tweak makes the project much more hands-on while keeping it stress-free for parents. It’s especially great for kids who may be working on fine motor skills since it allows them to practice grasping, arranging, and threading in a way that feels natural and fun.
Why This Craft is Perfect for Families:
Bonding Time: Creating this garland together encourages intentional crafting, helping moms (or dads) and kids connect on a deeper level.
Easy for Little Hands: The paper straw trick makes it simple for kids to thread the bunnies onto the twine—no struggling with tiny holes or frustration.
No Crafting Experience Required: Even if you’re not a DIY pro, this project is beginner-friendly and takes only a few steps.
Minimal Mess: With just card stock, glue, and cotton balls, this is a kid-safe, low-mess craft—no glitter explosions or paint disasters!
